Obituary: Stong, Blanche

STONG, Blanche Arlene Blanche Arlene Stong was born in Rugby North Dakota February 21, 1933 to Myrtle Olive Storburg Welch and Blanchard “Dutch” Welch.

She graduated from Cando High School, Cando North Dakota in 1951.

She married Kenneth Owen Stong April 26, 1952.

Kenneth and Blanche had four children; Tanya Kaye in Georgia, Kraig Owen in Wisconsin, Ricky Ken in Utah and Christi Lynn in Washington state.

She was preceded in death by Holly Marie Armstrong (granddaughter) and Kenneth Owen Stong (husband).

She is survived by her four children, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at Good Samaritan Village on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Those who would like to celebrate Blanche’s life with a donation are welcome to support the American Cancer Society in Blanche’s name.
