Obituary: Quinn, Carolyn Jean (Sevigny)

Age -7134

QUINN, Carolyn Jean (Sevigny) Was called to the Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2015.

She was born to Josephine and Arthur Sevigny on September 23, 1943, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Yakima, Washington.

She is survived by her husband Marcus; children Adam and Mary Jo (Matthew); two grandchildren, Macy and Marissa; sisters Marie, Angel, Julie, Bernadette; brothers George, Leonard, Roger, Daniel and Stephen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Pauline, brothers Bernard and Louis and two brothers who died in infancy.

She grew up in Moxee, Washington, attending Holy Rosary School.

She was always in the top of her class and greatly enjoyed debate.

Carolyn attended Seattle University and worked for a doctor’s office.

She met and married the “Love of her Life”, Marcus D. Quinn.

They were married at St. Edwards Church on February 19, 1966.

After several years in Seattle they moved to Montana, where their children were born.

They lived in Hungry Horse and Kalispell, where she devoted many years volunteering for Right to Life, helping young women and families.

The family then moved to Spokane.

Throughout her life, Carolyn was active in the Catholic Church and enjoyed crafting, sewing and spending time with her family.

A Vigil with Rosary will be held at St. Paschal Catholic Church, 2523 N. Park Road, Spokane Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paschal’s at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015.

A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
