Obituary: Davis, Rose Monrene (Mcgee)

DAVIS, Rose Monrene (McGee) (Age 94) Went to rest with her Lord January 16, 2015.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband Lee M. Davis, her mom Eva, dad Loran and her brother Franklin McGee.

Rose is survived by her brother Alan Lee McGee (CA); her children Lawrence A. Cook (AZ), Loren Craig Cook (MI), Rose ‘Rene’ Newberry (WA), Tim and April Davis (WA), Lynette A. Whitmire (NE); stepchildren, Mary L. Harmon (WA) and Lillie Faye Kaminski (ID).

Rose had 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Rose was very fond of cats and she loved to travel.

When her husband passed away, she bought a motorhome and traveled the country by herself until she settled in Quartzsite, AZ.

Fourteen years ago she came back to Spokane and settled at The Good Samaritan Village in Spokane Valley, where she made many friends and lived out her life.

She will be missed by all.

Per her request, there will be no services.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Riverside Memorial Park.

She requested that in lieu of flowers; please make donations to Gentiva Hospice Donations, 1908 North Dale Lane, Spokane Valley, WA 99212 or The Good Samaritan Society, 17121 East 8th Avenue, Spokane Valley, WA 99016.

Graveside services will be held at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00AM
