GSL girls basketball: Lexie and Lacie Hull help CV triumph

The freshmen Hull twins had statistical lines to remember Friday.

The Hulls combined to help lead the Central Valley Bears to an easy 84-38 win over the visiting Ferris Saxons in Greater Spokane League play.

Lexie Hull had 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Lacie Hull had 15 points, 11 assists, seven steals and six rebounds. Madison Hovren, had 23 points and 14 rebounds for the Bears (15-3, 13-3 GSL).

Bria Bowton led Ferris (7-11, 7-9) with 12 points.

Gonzaga Prep 71, Mt. Spokane 23: The Bullpups (18-0, 16-0) had no difficulty posting their 41st straight win. G-Prep opened a 43-11 lead by halftime over the visiting Wildcats (7-11, 5-11).

Otiona Gildon led the Bullpups with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Laura Stockton had 16 points.

Shadle Park 42, Rogers 41: Abby Bauernfeind made a 3-point shot with 4.8 seconds left to lift the visiting Highlanders (5-13, 5-11) past the Pirates (1-17, 0-16).

Makala Peterson led Rogers with 16 points, 18 rebounds and five blocked shots, and Sarah Guertin added 15 points.

Lewis and Clark 76, North Central 37: The Tigers (13-5, 12-4) made 10 of 15 attempts from behind the 3-point arc as they cruised past the Indians (1-17, 1-15) at NC.

Riley Lupfer led the Tigers with 17 points, Michaela Kay had 12 and Brooklyn Howlett added 11.

Megan Dean led the Indians with 12 points.

Mead 49, University 39: The visiting Panthers (13-5, 12-4) remained tied for third place with the road victory.

Sue Winger led the Panthers with 13 points and Coreen Labish added 10.

Brooke Bailey led the Titans (10-8, 9-7) with 19 points.
