Obituary: Summers, Matthew Paul

SUMMERS, Matthew Paul (Age 41) Passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Matt was born in Lebanon, KY and was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jessie Barnett.

He grew up in Marion and moved to Norton in 1987 and later to Spokane, Washington where he graduated high school from Deer Park High School.

He attended Twin Falls Junior College and Mountain Empire Community College.

He was currently employed as a warehouse manager with Costco in Chicago, IL.

He was an adventurous person who liked BMW motorcycles, bungee and base jumping, and had traveled the world extensively.

Survivors include mother, Pamela Barnett, Marion, VA; two children, Dillon Ethan Jessie Bowers, Jenica Dinataly; grandparents Colene Barnett and Wall Massie; brothers Bryan Summers, Sandersville, GA, Robert Summers, Spokane, WA; sister Pamela Willis, Marion VA; aunt Judy Shepherd; uncle Dean Barnett; nieces and nephews Courtney Quillen, Brianna Crisp, Tori Summers, Tayven Summers, Emma Summers, Brostol Summers, Jaci Willis; cousins Scott Shepherd Jeremy Shepherd and family, Autumn Harden and family; and many, many friends all over the world.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Friday July 3, 2015 at the Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Pellyton Cemetery in Adair County, KY.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
