Obituary: Gerhauser, Virginia Faye (Ruetsch)
She was born in 1934 in Yukon, Pennsylvania to Frank and Laura Packe and was raised in Alliance, Ohio before moving to Alaska as a young woman, where she met and later married the father of her two children.
Virginia spent a number of years in Spokane before moving to Vancouver, WA in 1978 where she retired in 1996 after a successful career with the WA State DSHS office.
Virginia was a fiercely independent woman who looked forward to her monthly luncheons with retired coworkers.
She was laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, Spokane in a private graveside service.
She is survived by her son, Fred Ruetsch; daughter, Daryl Lindholm; as well as three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
