Busted Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit when he was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Arizona last month. Lab test results showed McNabb’s blood alcohol level was 0.17. McNabb’s vehicle rear-ended another vehicle June 28. No injuries were reported. McNabb played 13 years in the NFL.

Disciplined Buffalo Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer was put on paid administrative leave after being accused of punching a boy in the face for using his beach chairs. Kromer was arrested over the weekend after confronting two boys, pushing one to the ground and punching him. The boy told deputies that Kromer threatened to kill his family if he reported the incident. Kromer is charged with battery that caused bodily harm.

Honored Former Colts center Jeff Saturday will become the 12th member to join the team’s Ring of Honor on Sept. 21. Saturday joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 1999 and became a fixture in the Indianapolis community and on the Colts’ offensive line.

Arrested Nuggets guard Ty Lawson was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol – his second DUI arrest this year. Lawson was arrested on suspicion of DUI last January in Denver. He is due in court in that case on Friday.

Retired Four-time world champion Carl Froch retired from boxing after more than a year out of the ring. The 38-year-old super middleweight twice won the WBC title, as well as taking the WBA and IBF belts. The English fighter won 33 of his 35 fights, with 24 by knockout.

Urged The World Anti-Doping Agency urged organizers of the Pan Am Games to follow the example of the International Olympic Committee and store samples for possible testing in the future. Drug-test samples from Olympic Games are stored for up to 10 years.

Arrived Thoroughbred American Pharoah arrived at Del Mar (California) Race Track to begin training for next month’s Haskell Invitational in New Jersey. He made the roughly 100-mile journey early in the morning, settled in and then jogged around the track in a morning workout.

Agreed NHRA and Fox Sports announced they agreed to a long-term contract that begins in 2016 and will put four drag-racing events on the main Fox network each year. NHRA has been on ESPN since 2001.
