Obituary: Lavalley Jr., Arthur Vernon

Age 73

LaVALLEY JR., Arthur Vernon 1942 - 2015 Arthur Vernon LaValley Jr. born July 26, 1942 passed away July 9, 2015.

Art was born in Havre Montana to Arthur Sr. and Bea LaValley.

He graduated from Joplin High School in 1960.

In 1962 he enlisted in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1965.

That same year he met the love of his life, Karan Beagle.

They were married July 20, 1965.

Art worked at the Anaconda Aluminum Plant in Columbia Falls for a couple of years before moving to Spokane where they made their home for the next 47 years.

He was a proud member of the Operating Engineers Local 370 and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for various construction companies.

He was also very proud of all of the buildings he helped construct around the Spokane area.

He loved to go fishing, camping, and taking many cross country motorcycle trips with his wife and their friends.

Art was a devoted husband, dad, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sisters: Fern, Betty, and LaVon.

He is survived by his sister Elaine Lukes; brother Terry (Madeline) LaValley; daughters: Annette (Dan) Garber, Susan (Kelly) Snyder; grandson Brandon; step-grandchildren: Katie and Ryan Snyder, step-great-granddaughter Jayden Snyder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

To Celebrate Art’s Life there will be an open house at his Spokane Valley home from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Saturday August 15, 2015.
