Invaders, not ‘immigrants’

Donald Trump, vocalizing before thinking (yet again), has mischaracterized as “immigrants” the people who enter United States territory illegally and unrecorded by walking across the undefended portions of the U.S.-Mexico border. Those aliens are invaders, not immigrants.

Immigrants enter a sovereign nation through a legally endorsed, regulated, recorded procedure. And sovereign nations that deserve to be so designated do not allow unregulated, undocumented invasions of their territories, even those of a singular nature, to become routine events.
