Four Eagles on Big Sky Preseason All-Conference squad

Four Eastern Washington University football players – led by offensive MVP Cooper Kupp – have been selected to the 2015 Big Sky Conference Preseason All-Conference Team, announced Monday by the league.

Kupp, a consensus All-American his first two seasons in the program, was named to the team and as the offensive MVP. Senior offensive guard Aaron Neary, senior offensive tackle Clay DeBord and junior defensive end Samson Ebukam were also honored on the preseason squad.

Eastern opens the season on Sept. 5 at Oregon.

• University of Idaho junior punter Austin Rehkow is the first-team choice as the punter for the Sun Belt’s preseason all-conference team. He is joined in the preseason recognition by two seniors – linebacker Marc Millan and defensive end Quinton Bradley.

Rehkow, a Central Valley grad and finalist for the 2014 Ray Guy Award, had the nation’s second-best punting average last year.

The Vandals open the season at home against Ohio University on Sept. 3.
