Obituary: Winfrey, Elnora Blanche

WINFREY, Elnora Blanche Died peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 17, 2015.

She was born August 7, 1926 in Neppel (now Moses Lake), Washington to Marion and Blanche Bower.

The family moved to Spokane where she attended Lindbergh High School.

She married Lewis Winfrey August 8, 1942 and proceeded to devote her time and energy to raising a family and being actively involved in PTA, Red Cross, March of Dimes and later bowling.

She is survived by her four children, Noralou (Bill) Hildebrand of San Diego, CA, Nancy Oettel of Everson, WA, Linda (Butch) LaBreche of Hayden, ID, and Daniel (Eliza) Winfrey of Fairbanks, AK; twelve grandchildren, Daphne, Heide, Todd, Wade, Julie, Eric, Shelley, Travis, Sharon, Lynette, Cameron and Charity; (35) great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

Elnora was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; her parents; brothers, Max, Jake, and Dennis and sisters, Ruth and Maxine.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Hennessey Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.
