Spokane police looking for armed robbery suspect

Spokane police are investigating an armed robbery today at a Subway restaurant in north Spokane. The suspect entered just before 3:15 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money from a clerk, then fled westbound on foot with an undisclosed sum, police Cpl. Glenn Bartlett said. The suspect is described as white, in his mid-30s, about 6 feet tall, and of medium to heavy build. He wore a white athletic-style long-sleeve shirt, white baseball cap, sunglasses and blue jean shorts. The robbery happened in the 5000 block of N. Division Street.
