Vote wisely in primary election

Spokane’s primary ballots have arrived. Many people think voting in the primary is not important, and wait for the general election. Not so. The primary election determines the choice of candidates on the November ballot. This is an opportunity to change the tone of the Spokane City Council.

This past Monday evening, both Spokane and Spokane Valley city councils were on Channel 5 and Channel 14, respectively. What a difference. Small wonder many prospective businesses prefer Spokane Valley’s atmosphere.

May I recommend small business candidates LaVerne Biel and Evan Verduin? They are small-business owners in Spokane, are interested in good government and good business practices, and actually appreciate their customers, employees and would-be constituents.

Many people of faith check out www.WeBelieveWeVote.com as a guideline. Local informed citizens interview candidates and review their findings.

Quit complaining and waiting for someone else to do something. We are living in interesting times and at least to this point, we do have a say in our government. Vote wisely.
