Age 76
Craig was born July 2, 1939 at Wilbur, WA to Wilfred E. and Alice V. Payne Ladwig.
He grew up and attended school in Spokane, graduating from North Central High School in 1957.
He joined the Marines, serving in Japan and following his discharge, returned to Spokane.
He attended Washington State University for a time and worked for Garrett Freight Lines, continuing with them following college.
Craig then began working for WSU Motor Pool, retiring from there as manager in 2001.
Craig was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and active in the Knights of Columbus, both Third and Fourth Degree’s and served as State Deputy.
He also served on the Moscow School Board, and was past president.
He enjoyed bowling, reading, running, having run is various marathons, boating and tubing with his grandchildren.
He and Marge had spent the past several years wintering in Arizona where they enjoyed playing pickle ball, and the summers at their Lake Cabin at Harrison.
Craig and Marjorie L. Kissinger were married at St. Charles Church in Spokane on June 24, 1961.
Marge survives, along with daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Tim McCoy of Moscow, Christine and Michael Butler of Palmdale, CA and Carla and Jason Gaber of Kent, WA.
He also leaves ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Bowman of Dublin, CA.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clayton in 1999.
The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Moscow with a reception following at the Church Family Center.
The family suggests memorials be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research or to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
