Pac-12 Conference announces three starting times for WSU football games

PULLMAN – Washington State football fans making plans for the 2015 season can start preparing now, for three games at least.

The Pac-12 announced its early television selections on Monday, providing kickoff times for WSU games against Portland State and Wyoming, as well as this year’s Black Friday Apple Cup in Seattle.

Fans will still have to scramble some to make arrangements because kickoff times for the remaining nine regular-season games won’t be announced until six or 12 days in advance. Every game involving a Pac-12 team should be televised this season, either on the Pac-12 Networks or a national network such as ABC, ESPN or Fox Sports 1.

The Cougars will open the season at 11 a.m. on Sept. 5 against PSU. Then, after a trip to New Jersey to repay Rutgers for last year’s visit, the Cougars will return to Pullman for a 5:30 p.m. game against Wyoming on Sept. 19. During that game, the Cougars will induct a 25-member WSU Athletic Hall of Fame class that includes former Martin Stadium favorites such as Jerome Harrison, Lamont Thompson, Marcus Trufant and Steve Broussard.

WSU’s trip to Rutgers will be the first East Coast game for the Cougars since a 38-34 win over Temple in Philadelphia in 1996.

The Cougars will end the regular season Nov. 27 at UW in the annual Apple Cup, that will start at either 12:30 or 1 p.m. and televised on either Fox 28 or Fox Sports 1.
