40th Idaho State Button Show - Friday and Saturday. Hosted by the local Historical Button Club of Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington. Show theme is “A Berry Wonderful 40 Years” and will feature displays and sales of thousands of antique and collectible buttons dating from the 1700s to the present. Members judge the Button Tray Competition on Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., with an evening dinner program on medieval buttons by Janelle Giles of California. Tea With Tucker Enjoy vegan tapas, shabby chic goodies from Goodwill and music. Funds generated from this special tea will be applied toward the creation of a peaceful animal memorial garden and a community vegetable garden at River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary. Painting Fundraiser for Spokane Humane Society - “Furry Love” is a tribute painting to the animals. The whole painting can be customized. Proceeds from every seat will be donated to help out animals in need at the Spokane Humane Society. Donations in the form of dry pet food, kitty litter, peanut butter, pet shampoos, dog crates and carriers, hand sanitizer, toys, etc. are welcome and encouraged. Kibbles 4 Kritters Fundraiser - Fourth annual pet food and supply drive, sponsored by Hot Rod Vaporz and Hood Revenue to benefit SCRAPS. All cash donations will be used for the care and medical expenses for abandoned, abused and neglected animals from the Spokane area. Donations can also be made at SCRAPS, 6815 E. Parade of Paws - A two- or four-mile pledge walk to benefit the animals at the Spokane Humane Society.
