BootSlam - BootSlam is competitive performance poetry presented by Spokane Poetry Slam. Poets have three minutes per round to present their original work, which is judged by five audience members chosen at random. Spokane Novelists Group - A support/critique group for writers, open to anyone with an interest in writing fiction. “Jack the Cat Burglar” - Author Judy Waring reads from her just-released children’s book, “Jack the Cat Burglar and His PURRty True Tale,” the story of the Weatherby family, who find items on their front and back porch day after day after day. Finally, the Weatherbys decide they have to find out who is leaving all that stuff for them every night. The book’s illustrator, Carol Muzik, will also be in attendance. The Wordwright’s Workshop - Presented by Spokane Poetry Slam. This is a poetry, writing, performance, and spoken word workshop open to poets and writers of all backgrounds and skill levels.
