Dan Spencer named WSU baseball associate head coach

In his first move since being named Washington State’s head baseball coach, Marty Lees named Dan Spencer the Cougars’ associate baseball head coach Thursday.

The move reunites Spencer with Lee after the two spent four seasons together at Oregon State, winning back-to-back College World Series titles in 2006 and 2007.

Spencer, who spent the last three seasons at New Mexico, will oversee the Cougars’ pitching staff.
