Students sing anthem correctly

I have read two recent letters on how bad the singing of the national anthem is by celebrities at national events. I agree.

If you want to hear what the anthem should sound like, attend a Gonzaga University women’s basketball game. I believe most of the singers are students. They stand all alone on the floor, no band or other music, and sing it the way it should be sung. Sometimes it will bring a tear to the eye. We have attended games for eight years, and in that time I can only remember two singers that were bad: both of them pros, not students.

So come to a game and hear the anthem sung as it should be, and also watch an exciting women’s basketball game. Go Zags.
