“Game of Thrones” – Season 5 of the epic fantasy has been the bloodiest and most controversial thus far. This week, it comes to an end as we wonder just how high the body count will go. Meanwhile, if you were Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), wouldn’t you be tempted to hitch a ride on that massive dragon and fly as far away from all the brutality as you can? 9 p.m. Sunday, HBO.

SUNDAY: Watch out, Hillary. On the season finale of “Veep,” Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) has a chance to become the first woman elected president. 10:30 p.m., HBO.

MONDAY: The rollicking miniseries “Texas Rising” concludes as the Rangers celebrate their victory over Santa Anna. Also, Gen. Sam Houston (Bill Paxton) is asked to take on a vital role in the future of the newly independent territory. 9 p.m., History Channel.

MONDAY: “The Making of the Mob: New York” is a fascinating docudrama that recalls the exploits of notorious gangsters, including Lucky Luciano and Bugsy Siegel. Ray Liotta narrates. 10 p.m., AMC.

TUESDAY: Jennifer Beals stars in the new drama “Proof.” She plays a gifted surgeon hired by a terminally ill tech billionaire (Matthew Modine) to investigate near-death experiences and ghost sightings in an attempt to prove that life after death exists. 10 p.m., TNT.

TUESDAY: Season 2 of “Tyrant” begins with Barry (Adam Rayner) sitting in prison, awaiting punishment for the failed coup against Jamal (Ashraf Barhom), while the latter struggles to decide whether or not to execute him. 10 p.m., FX.

WEDNESDAY: On a fresh installment of “Mystery Diners,” the owner of Harvey’s Steakhouse in Huntington Beach frets that he’s losing some of his older customers. Are his employees the reason? 9:30 p.m., Food Network.

WEDNESDAY: The gripping drama “Deutschland 83” is the first German-language series to be broadcast in America. It follows a young man (Jonas Nay) from East Germany who is sent over the Berlin Wall as an undercover spy. 11 p.m., Sundance.

THURSDAY: Rocket science? Not so much on “The Astronaut Wives Club.” The new period drama focuses on seven women who band together as their husbands are launched into space on a series of dangerous missions. 8 p.m., ABC.

THURSDAY: In the new drama “Complications,” Jason O’Mara plays a doctor who, still reeling from his daughter’s death, intervenes in a gang shooting. The incident turns him into an unlikely vigilante. 9 p.m., USA.

FRIDAY: Better buckle up for “Killjoys.” It’s a turbocharged new drama that follows a fun-loving, hard-living trio of interplanetary bounty hunters who chase dangerous fugitives through space. 9 p.m., Syfy.

SATURDAY: The dazzling six-part nature series “Life Story” continues with “Courtship.” It goes beyond the birds and bees to examine various mating rituals among animals. 9 p.m., Discovery Channel.
