Honesty, integrity matter

Pardon the pun, but some issues in this world really are black or white. One is either black and African American, or they are not. A good analogy would be to those who masquerade as Vietnam veterans, whether panhandling on the street wearing fatigues, or wearing a business suit, as the former publisher of the Arizona Republic did. One is either a veteran who saw service in Vietnam, or one is not.

The core issue is about honesty, integrity and respect for the truth, all of which those who masquerade as something they are not do not possess. They rightly lose their credibility and usually get marginalized. While Rachel Dolezal deserves ignominy, one suspects there is a nice fat book contract out there to ease her pain and reward her lying.
