Free Exercise Classes for Breast Cancer Survivors - Breast cancer survivors, who finished their primary treatment in the past three months and are not extremely active, may be eligible to participate in a research study at WSU Spokane. Participants will attend free exercise classes three days per week for 12 weeks and complete pre/post testing sessions. Test results and free exercise/nutrition education will be provided to those who complete the study. New classes begin each Monday through September. Call for dates/times and more information. Bike MS: Cycle the Silver Valley - Beginning at Silver Mountain Lodge in Kellogg, Bike MS takes cyclists on a two-day journey on a “Rails to Trails” path almost completely off roadways. Meals, amenities, fully stocked rest stops and festivities are all included. A $75 registration fee and a minimum of $250 in fundraising are required to participate. Funds support research, programs and services for nearly 15,000 people living with multiple sclerosis across the Northwest. Look Good … Feel Better - A program offered by the American Cancer Society to help women diagnosed with cancer learn how to apply cosmetics and choose wigs and other head wear.
