Personnel issues remain as Sounders travel to Philadelphia

Seattle Sounders FC takes a depleted linup into Philadelphia to play the Union today ( 4, Root). The Sounders, who lost on Saturday without their three designated players, will again be without co-leading scorers Clint Dempsey (suspension) and Obafemi Martins (groin) as well as midfield enforcer Osvaldo Alonso (hamstring). Also, No. 3 forward Chad Barrett remains sidelined with a hamstring strain. The Sounders (9-5-2) enter the match tied for the MLS Western Conference lead. Philadelphia (4-10-3), which also lost on Saturday, is ninth in the East. Seattle is 0-2-1 in its three matches without any of its DPs. – Tacoma News Tribune
