Drive without studs

Looking back on the winter that we have had, it seems like it might be a good year for people with studded tires to take them off early. Since there hasn’t been a single day this winter in the city of Spokane that they were even slightly necessary, maybe enough damage to the streets has been done for this year.

This might also be a good year for our legislators to gather themselves, show some fortitude and outlaw studded tires. Finally. I was in Minnesota for a week this winter; no studs, no ruts in the streets and freeways. They manage easily. So can we.
