Age 81

TRUE, James Allen (Age 81) James A.

True was born September 1933 in Mason City, Iowa.

He passed away peacefully February 20, 2015 at Providence Regional Medi- cal Center in Everett, after a long, well-fought battle with cancer.

James is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maxine; his children, Linda, Adele, Juline, Caroline, Patrick and James.

He was the oldest child of Pat and Clara True; with surviving siblings, Sharon, Wayne, Frank, David, Janice, and Loree.

He was the loving grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of three.

James joined the US Navy at the age of 17, serving as a member of the “Fighting See Bees” during the Korean War.

He was honorably discharged in 1954.

He continued professionally in the private sector until retiring in 2003.

James was a well-loved member of communities stretching from Fairbanks, AK to Yuma, AZ and east to Iowa.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, rock-hounding and photography.

He spent many hours researching and compiling an extensive family genealogy which is greatly appreciated by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Granville Grange in Granite Falls, WA where he last resided.

As per his wishes, it will be a casual potluck affair beginning at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the American Cancer Society in his name is requested.
