Four Sasquatch snag Eastern Region honors

Dean Richey of the Community Colleges of Spokane men’s basketball team and Khadija Neumeyer of the CCS women’s team were named to the Northwest Athletic Conference Eastern Region first team, the conference announced Wednesday.

Richey, a sophomore who hails from Lewis and Clark High School, averaged 17.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game this season for the 19-11 Sasquatch.

Richey’s teammate, Jake Love, a freshman from West Valley HS, was named to the Eastern Region second team after he averaged 16 points and 6.3 rebounds.

Freshman Kage Sobotta, a Clarkston High grad, made the men’s all-defensive team.

Neumeyer, a freshman from Capital High School in Boise, averaged 13.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game for the Sasquatch women (16-14).
