Report: Marshawn Lynch has a new contract with the Seahawks

By Jayson Jenks The Seattle Times
Running back Marshawn Lynch will be back with the Seahawks after agreeing to a new contract with the team, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Lynch had arguably his best season in 2014. He rushed for the second-most yards of his career (1,306), averaged the second-most yards per carry (4.7), had the second-most receptions (37) while also scoring the most touchdowns (13) and having the most receiving yards (367). Talks all offseason, and even dating back to during the season, have been about not only whether Lynch would return to the Seahawks, but whether he would play football at all. Sources said during the season that Lynch had openly talked about retiring, although most of those sources thought the itch would be too great and Lynch would ultimately return.
