Supporting Avista lifestyles

Are you kidding me? Another Avista rate hike, after reporting a 73 percent increase (in earnings) in 2014? Please, someone, we need to get this company under control. It needs to be regulated far more than it currently is. Someone needs to stand up and demand accounting from this company that continues to overcharge the people.

Those of us with fixed incomes cannot continue to absorb these rate increases time and time again. People, let your congresspersons know you cannot hold still for this.

After seeing the chief executive officer’s compensation for 2014 in the Feb. 28 paper, now I understand the reason for the rate increase request: He wants to double his compensation from the last couple of years. How many of us citizens have had our income double in two years? Or ever?

Please listen, Avista. We are tired of paying for your luxurious lifestyles.
