There are currently four openings. Terms are for three years. Interested? Call Dorothy Dahlgren at (208) 664-3448 or email her at dd@museumni.org. Information packets also are available at www.museumni.org. The board election will be held in mid-April.

More from North Idaho

The Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission is seeking artists to participate in its ArtCurrent program, which places sculptures around downtown.

The works are loaned to the city for one year, and they are publicly displayed through major Coeur d’Alene events, including Art on the Green, Ironman, Car d’Lane and the monthly second Friday Art Walk – which translates to an estimated 250,000 visitors a year.

Information packets are available at Coeur d’Alene City Hall, 710 E. Mullan Ave., or online at www.cdaid.org. Proposals are due July 10. For more information, call arts commission liaison Sean Holm at (208) 676-7401.

Online art

A Colfax photographer has had work selected for a juried international online art exhibit.

Jonica Tramposch has five photographs included in the current Upstream People Gallery exhibition. They’ll be featured through March, then archived indefinitely on the website, www.upstreampeoplegallery.com.

In the notes, juror Laurence Bradshaw, art professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha said Tramposch “has some lovely animal pictures,” and “And a picture of a cat that is so beautiful as seen in her ‘Cat Eyes’ shows the special markings of the fur and the complementary colors of the eyes and nose.”

Upstream People was founded in the late 1990s as a way to serve artists worldwide by hosting international, juried art exhibitions. The “Faces” portraiture show drew more than 165 entries; Bradshaw selected 33 artists for inclusion.

Zac’s back

The Zac Brown Band is returning to the region this summer for a show at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington.

The band will perform on July 11 as part of a nationwide tour in support of the new album, “JEKYLL + HYDE,” due out April 28.

Tickets for the July 11 show are on sale at 10 a.m. March 20 through Ticketmaster. Prices hadn’t been posted as of Friday afternoon, but a show the following day at the Amphitheater Northwest in Ridgefield, Washington, just north of Vancouver, is selling for between $35 and $75, not including fees.
