Vick comment false

I wanted to let everyone know that Sen. Steve Vicks’ claim in the March 3 article (“North Idaho senator objects to Hindu Prayer”) – “They’ve all been supportive of the effort to not allow the Hindu prayer in the Senate chambers” – is patently false.

As a North Idahoan, I most definitely do not support him in this. I fully believe in religious freedom in the United States, and it is expressly protected by our Constitution. However, by attempting to deny this simple prayer, he is hindering freedom, not allowing it. Anyone that would deny a simple prayer, deny freedom, will never get my vote.

Finally, I would also like to add that instead of worrying about something so trivial as a prayer opening the Idaho Senate, why doesn’t he start worrying about more important matters? Like jobs? Wages? Education? Real health care reform so we can toss out Obamacare?
