David Stockton named NBA D-League Performer of Week

RENO, Nev. – Reno Bighorns guard David Stockton has been named the NBA D-League’s Performer of the Week after averaging nearly 39 points and 14 assists over three games.

Stockton, the son of former NBA star John Stockton, scored a career-high 44 points and dished out 10 assists in his first game at Reno on March 4 coming off a 10-day contract with the Sacramento Kings. He also had eight steals and seven rebounds during that 158-152 victory over Rio Grande Valley.

For the week, he averaged 6.7 rebounds and 4.3 steals to go with his double-double average of 38.7 points and 13.7 assists.

In his only NBA game, he had two points and an assist in seven minutes of play in the Kings’ 126-99 loss to the Clippers on Feb. 21.
