Area roundup: Gonzaga tops Arkansas

Sophomore Justin Jacobs smacked a three-run home run in the fourth inning and freshman Calvin LeBrun stranded eight runners in six innings of work to lead the Gonzaga Bulldogs to a 6-2 victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Tuesday.

It marked the first time that GU won a game on a Southeastern Conference opponent’s field.

Senior Alice Kim notched her first top-10 finish of the season – tying for 10th with a 1-over-par 214 – to help the Gonzaga women place seventh at the Bay Area Intercollegiate at Meadow Club in Fairfax, California.
