Bring halt to abortions

I have grown up in a home where I must take responsibility for my actions. Every action comes with a consequence, both bad and good. However, many people in today’s culture seem to feel that their actions won’t have any effect on their life. I see this occur many times with the issue of abortion.

In 2011, approximately 1.06 million abortions took place in the United States. This, to me, is outrageous. How can the U.S. feel that killing over 1 million human beings is even remotely OK? An even more startling fact: Unmarried women account for 85.5 percent of abortions.

Women need to think clearly about what they are getting themselves into before they actually do it. Birth control and condoms are handed out for free at Planned Parenthood. There are so many options that one could take to prevent even the thought of abortion.

People make mistakes, but abortion is a choice. The acts that bring a woman to abortion are all choices. Abortion needs to be stopped. People need to think about their actions.
