Obituary: Seivers, Nicholas C.

SEIVERS, Nicholas C. (Age 83) Nick lost his battle with cancer on March 18th at his farm home near Lind, WA, where he lived his entire life.

He was born August 30th, 1931 to Nick and Irene Seivers and had a lovely older sister, Delores.

He married Patricia “Patty” Bierman when he was twenty, and they had three sons.

The oldest, Nick, died in a car wreck in 1968; Patty died in the same accident.

Beloved son, Jim, who lives in Suncrest with his girlfriend, Rita Larsen, and David, who operates the family farm, survive him.

Nick later married Betty LaVigne, who is deceased.

Nick is survived by his grandson, Will Seivers, nephews: Bob and Pat Higgins; nieces: Paula Campbell and Linda Calkins; cousins Kay and Craig Heberling.

Nick was always willing to help his neighbors and started Seivers Grain & Trucking, while also operating the farm.

He liked to bowl and sponsored a couple of teams.

He generously supported the Catholic Church.

Nick was an expert trap shooter, hitting a hundred straight - more than once.

He loved to shoot pool, and if he had to travel, Vegas or Reno were his choices.

He enjoyed the Seahawks Super Bowl and the picture is from the most recent one.

“Hey dad, what’s the worst job in the NFL?”

“Sucking the air out of Tom Brady’s balls.”

He loved that one!

In his last year he learned so much about love and we did too.

It was so much fun dad, we love you and miss you.

Pat smells the coffee, Al has the cards shuffled, Rita is holding your hand, and Roberta is making blueberry pancakes.

Do you really want me to play Alley Cat…again?

Special thanks to Roberta Bauman - we love you - Hospice of Moses Lake and Avalon Nursing home in Spokane.

Services will be held at the Lind Cemetery, Saturday, April 11th at 2:00 pm.

Please, no flowers, donate to cancer research.
