Let’s Play for the Symphony - 25th annual fundraising event sponsored by the Forte Plus chapter of the Spokane Symphony Associates. Table games such as bridge or mahjong, luncheon and an auction are featured. Monday, 10 a.m., Manito Country Club, 5303 S. Hatch Road. $25. (509) 458-8733.

Cowboy Ball - Line dancing lessons, live auction, buffet dinner and best dressed awards. Featuring performances by Kelly Hughes Band and Sam Platts & the Kootenai Three. Currently only selling table sponsorships for this event. Funds raised go to capital improvements to the Kootenai County Fairgrounds and educational scholarships for area youth. Hope Run - All proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Organization of the Inland Northwest to help local children with cancer. Choose 5 or 10 kilometer route on the Children of the Sun trail in north Spokane. All race participants receive a commemorative T-shirt. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each event. No pets allowed. Walkers and strollers must start in the back. April 11, 9 a.m., Farwell Elementary School, 13005 N.
