Obituary: Harwood, Charles “Chuck”

Age 62

HARWOOD, Charles “Chuck” (Age 62) Charles William “Chuck” Harwood died peacefully on January 25, 2015, in the Coeur d’ Alene, ID Hospice.

Chuck was born in Butte, MT., on April 28, 1952 to Alton and Barbara Harwood.

He graduated from Butte High School in 1970.

He attended Montana Tec and Spokane Community College.

Through the years, Chuck worked various jobs including ATC Manufacturing, Spokane Valley, WA, Boeing, Airway Heights, WA, and Harpers, Post Falls, ID.

He was artistic and creative, which he expressed in handcrafted furniture, oil paintings, leatherwork, and poetry.

He enjoyed genealogy, graphic design, reading, hiking and camping with his family and friends.

Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, James Harwood and nephew, Joal Harwood.

He is survived my his wife of 25 years, Karen Harwood and his son, Caleb Harwood both of Newman Lake, WA; his parents Al and Barbara Harwood of Butte, MT; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Clark Walters and Jeanette and Kevin Clark; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Harwood and Eliza Gray, Bob Harwood and Shelley and Krestie Harwood, all of Butte, MT and Sharol Harwood of Spokane, WA; mother-in-law, Janice Flowers of Darlington, SC and sister-in-law, Stephanie Camak of Myrtle Beach, SC; 18 nieces and nephews, 13 great-nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his family, Chuck had many friendships.

His family and friends were cherished by him and played an important role in his life.

A Celebration in memory of Chuck is planned for May 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Church in the Valley, 1958 Sampson St., Butte, MT.

Interment of ashes will be May 17, 2015 at Lima Montana Cemetery at 2:00 pm in Lima, MT.
