Obituary: Higginbotham, Sergeant Christopher Richard

Age 25

HIGGINBOTHAM, Sergeant Christopher Richard (Age 25) Passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Colorado Springs.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev.

Paul Frank officiating.

Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full Military Honors.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Christopher was born on January 24, 1990, the son of Jeanette Higginbotham.

Christopher was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army where he served two tours in Afghanistan.

Through his military career he was a recipient of the following awards, three Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, two Army Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, two Afghanistan Campaign Medals with Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Medal, NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge, and an Air Assault Badge.

He currently served with the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.

Left to treasure his memory is his wife, Brittany (West) Higginbotham of Nashville, TN; mother, Jeanette Higginbotham of Spokane, WA; grandparents, Joleane and Ed Hitchcock of Spokane, WA; and brother, Cody Higginbotham of Spokane, WA.

Military will serve as pallbearers.
