Architecture

Integrus Architecture has hired Dan Newell as a project manager and Linda Noble as a project office assistant. Newell has 38 years of experience in the architectural and construction industries and is currently working with the firm’s government group. Noble coordinates construction administration for the firm’s government projects. In addition, the firm has promoted Aaron Zwanzig to associate. Zwanzig is a project engineer with Integrus’ structural engineering group and is a licensed professional civil engineer in the state of Washington.

Education

Andrew Goldman has been named to a three-year term as Gonzaga University’s Alphonse A. and Geraldine F. Arnold Professor of the Humanities. Goldman is an associate professor of history at the university. He has been the chairman of the classical civilizations department since 2007.

The Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) Foundation has named Scott Ewing as the 2015 Volunteer of the Year. Ewing currently serves as the foundation’s board president. In addition, Bob Lombardi has been named a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award by the CCS Board of Trustees. Lombardi is an Inland Northwest Culinary Academy chef instructor. He has been with SCC for 31 years.

Engineering

DEI Electrical Consultants has hired Eric Hammond as a CAD/Revit technician. Hammond’s projects will include Joint Base Lewis-McChord Fort Lewis Shopping Center expansion and Spokane Valley’s City Hall. In addition, Kelly Waterman, an electrical engineer with DEI Electrical Consultants, presented “Integrated Architectural Lighting Design and the Implementation of Effective, Code-Compliant Control Systems” at the LIGHTFAIR International 2015 conference at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Robert Mills has joined Hill International as a document controls engineer. Mills has 15 years of experience in the construction industry and was previously with Bechtel National Inc.

Finance

Banner Bank has announced the recipients of the company’s Banner’s Best awards for 2014 as follows: Story Comer, Jackie Scotch, Irina Kryukova, Marcy Bennett and Christi Kile.

Health care

Fianna Dickson has joined Inland Northwest Health Services as senior marketing and communication specialist. Dickson has 10 years of health care experience and was previously with Confluence Health in Wenatchee. Dickson was also the director of public relations for the Hope Heart Institute in Seattle for seven years.

The award recognizes an individual who offers insightful and helpful information to users of Simpleview, a destination marketing company.
