Pay AND vote

Concerning the comments of Spokane City Councilman Jon Snyder regarding the failure of Proposition 1 (Spokane Transit Authority tax increase). He stated, “It is not right that voters living in outlying districts and the Spokane Valley should control transit policy.”

Snyder did not mention the businesses and homeowners in these outlying areas pay a higher sales tax because we are considered in the STA service area. The nearest bus stop from my home is 1.5 miles away.

If it is so unfair, then only STA tax within the city limits. Until then, I pay your STA tax, and I vote.
