Get ready for lots of Liams

Teachers, prepare for lots of little Liams in about five years. That name tops the list of most-popular baby names for boys in both Washington and Idaho last year, according to the Social Security Administration. For girls, Olivia was tops in Washington and Emma in Idaho. Nationally, the most-favorite names of 2014 were Noah and Emma. Note: Idaho parents were ahead of the coming “Charlotte” tsunami — caused by the selection of that name for Britain’s new princess — with Charlotte landing at No. 3 on the Gem State list. Here are the two state’s lists: Washington, top five girls names: Olivia, Emma, Sophia, Ava and Emily. Top five boys names: Liam, Benjamin, Alexander, Noah and William. Idaho, top five boys names: Liam, William, Mason, Oliver and Samuel. Top five girls names: Emma, Olivia, Charlotte, Abigail and Harper. For more on baby names, visit www.socialsecurity.gov.
