Obituary: Gunion, Michael Glenn

Age 50

GUNION, Michael Glenn (Age 50) Entered into rest May 15, 2015 after a courageous battle against cancer.

Mike was born November 1, 1964 in Seattle Washington to Harley and Penelope Gunion.

He was raised in Spokane, Washington and for the past few years lived in Humble, Texas with his wife and love, Megan Gunion.

Mike’s biggest joy in life was raising his five sons.

He was their dad, coach, friend and biggest supporter.

It gave him so much pride to watch them grow and succeed in all aspects of life.

He had a great love for basketball and enjoyed playing in Hoopfest with his boys each summer.

He was our family comedian, always bringing humor and laughter to anyone who crossed his path.

He will be immensely and deeply missed by all.

Mike is survived by his wife Megan (Astleford) Gunion; his sons Ryan Gunion, Mitchell Gunion, William Gunion and Coleman Gunion; grandson Logan Gunion; parents Harley and Penelope Gunion; siblings Shannon Manes, Kimberly Crocker, Ty Gunion, Troy Gunion, Karen Gunion; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son Nicholas Gunion and brothers Todd Gunion and Chad Gunion.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 22, 2015, 3:00 p.m. at Dishman Hills Camp Caro Lodge, 625 South Sargent Rd., Spokane, WA 99212.
