Age 89
She was born in Saginaw, MI on 16 February 1926.
After graduating high school, the family moved to Fresno, CA where she met the love of her life, David Rivera and had five children; Mark (Mary), Elizabeth Clark-Rivera, Anna (Jim) Martin, Matthew (Linda), Juanita (Ruben) Perez, plus 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Bertha loved working in the Emergency Department at Valley Medical Center, Fresno, CA and retired after 25 years.
Living life to the fullest, she enjoyed traveling to Europe, loved reading, crocheting, gardening, and gatherings of family/friends.
She was known for her gentle kindness, quick smile, and willingness to help those in need.
The family invites all who knew Bertha to join them in sharing stories and remembering this wonderful lady during a celebration of life on Saturday, May 23, 12:00pm at Opportunity Presbyterian Church, 202 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
