Man charged with stabbing friend to death in Lewiston

Associated Press

LEWISTON – A Lewiston man charged with stabbing his drinking partner to death will be held in jail without bond.

The Lewiston Tribune reported Patrick James Nuxoll was arraigned Friday, the day after he told police his friend had committed suicide.

Nuxoll, 53, is charged with first-degree murder of David W. Cramer.

Investigators say Nuxoll met police at his house covered in blood. Cramer’s body was slumped in a chair, covered in lacerations, a knife by his feet.

Nuxoll told police he and Cramer drank vodka, and when he woke up, his friend was dead. He also allegedly said, “I hope I didn’t kill Dave, but if I did, I’m sorry.”
