College soccer roundup: WSU rallies to beat Oregon State

Beau Bremer scored in the 86th minute to give the Washington State women’s soccer team a 2-1 victory over the Oregon State Beavers (6-9-3, 2-8-0 Pac-12) on Sunday in Pullman.

The Beavers scored first in the 16th minute. Sofia Anker-Kofoed’s first career goal in the 52nd minute tied the match with Kourtney Guetlein picking up her 20th career assist, becoming only the second Cougar in program history to reach 20.

Bremer scored on a second chance after her first shot rebounded off the the goalkeeper.

Whitworth loses in OT: Pacific Lutheran scored in the 94th minute to take a 2-1 golden goal victory over Whitworth in Parkland, Washington.

The Pirates (6-10-3, 4-8-3 Northwest) took the lead at 84:12 on Lindsey Foster’s goal but the Lutes (15-2-1, 11-2-1) tied it 44 seconds later on Machaela Graddy’s shot before going on to win in overtime on Taylor Lunde’s goal.

Huskies fall: Oregon (4-13-0, 2-8-0 Pac-12) scored in the opening seconds of overtime for a 1-0 victory over the Huskies (12-5-2, 5-4-1) in Eugene.

Men’s soccer

Gonzaga defeated: Santa Clara’s goal in the 85th minute gave the Broncos (7-8-1, 3-1-1) a 1-0 victory over Gonzaga (6-9-1, 1-4-0) in Spokane.

Whitworth triumphs: Karl Muelheims scored his 18th and 19th goals of the season and the ninth-ranked Whitworth Pirates (15-1-1, 11-1-1) took a 6-1 victory over Willamette (5-11-2, 4-8-1) in Spokane. The win kept the first-place Pirates one point ahead of Pacific Lutheran.
