Honors: Six Pirates earn NWC recognition

Six Whitworth student-athletes were named Northwest Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 26 to Nov. 1.

The honorees included Karl Muelheims (men’s soccer - offensive), Tyler Cardinale (men’s soccer - defensive), Cassandra Mendoza (volleyball), Kelvin Mackey (football - defensive), Rehn Reiley (football - special teams) and Wes Walton (men’s swimming).

Gonzaga women’s cross country earns national ranking

After winning the West Coast Conference title last Saturday, the Gonzaga women’s cross country team was ranked nationally for the first time in program history. The Bulldogs were ranked 30th in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Coaches Poll, which was released Tuesday.
