Men’s basketball: Montana tops Whitworth in exhibition game

Walter Wright scored a game-high 31 points and Montana used a 16-0 run midway through the second half to get past Whitworth 83-64 in a men’s basketball exhibition game Tuesday in Missoula.

Wright, a junior college All-American at Snow College last season, scored eight points during the decisive run. He finished 14 of 19 from the field and dished out a game-high seven assists.

George Valle led the Pirates with 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting and Kenny Love added nine points.
