Barrier for new I-90 overpass coming down Friday
Traffic on Interstate 90 in Post Falls will be slowed Friday morning by the removal of median barriers beneath the new Greensferry Overpass.
The eastbound left lane will close from 7 to 9 a.m. The westbound left lane will close from 9 to 11 a.m.
Work is wrapping up on the year-long, $15 million project, funded by the East Post Falls Urban Renewal Agency. A dedication ceremony is planned for Nov. 12 at 11 a.m.
The overpass at Greensferry Road will provide a connection to areas north and south of the freeway between Spokane Street and East Seltice Way to the west and state Highway 41 to the east.
The overpass includes a center turn lane, bicycle lanes and sidewalks. The sidewalks will connect with the Centennial Trail of North Idaho.
