Suspect may have attempted five robberies in one day

Police believe Quentin Sinn attempted five robberies in one day before he crashed his car while fleeing from police on Tuesday.

In each case the suspect was described as wearing a hooded sweatshirt, black face mask, blue jeans and brown slip-on shoes. Money was taken in only two of the robberies and in one attempt the robber fled after a clerk pulled a gun.

The first reported robbery was Sunday at the Zip Trip at 4807 W. Nine Mile Road. Half an hour later police were called to an attempted robbery at Sunset Grocery, 1908 W. Sunset Highway. Thirty minutes after that, an attempted robbery was reported at the Great Clips at 2910 E. 57th Avenue.

Less than 30 minutes later an attempted robbery was reported at Hai’s Mini Mart at 3014 N. Market. The clerk at the market pulled a gun and the robber ran away. Forty minutes later the Conoco at 14710 N. Newport Highway was robbed. Cash was taken and an employee reported seeing a gun.

On Tuesday a robbery was reported at the Petrol Truck Stop in Medical Lake. A witness was able to get the license plate of the suspect’s car and the driver, identified as Sinn, crashed at Third Avenue and Altamont Street while fleeing police.
