Current climate isn’t abnormal

Regarding “Fight climate change now (Nov. 4)”: Climate change is obvious? Yes, the worldwide weather is changing. Ever since the last Ice Age it has been returning to geological normal temperatures.

If the current technology can affect the solar output, the increase in volcano eruptions, and changes in the polar ice (north getting smaller, south increasing in size, which may affect the ocean currents and provide short-term changes in local weather) then by all means please let us pursue plans to stop volcano and tectonic plate activity, reduce the output of the sun to levels that promote better weather.

Climate is what you expect; weather is what we get. World geology indicates that current climate is no more abnormal than when dinosaurs reigned and no humans were around to affect climate. Maybe reduced birth rates would reduce the need for more food and energy.
