Women’s soccer: Aggies top Huskies in national tournament

Washington was eliminated from the NCAA Championships after a 2-1 loss to Texas A&M in a first-round match in College Station, Texas.

Kate Hajdu put the Aggies (16-6-1) ahead 1-0 with her 24th-minute goal and Haley Pounds made it 2-0 with a goal in the 53rd minute.

Pascale Dumesnil scored the Huskies’ lone goal in the 67th minute.

Washington ended its season with a 12-7-2 record.
